The finish direction is warm and quiet rather than flashy: oak millwork, creamy stone, soft white cabinetry, brass hardware, wide-plank oak floors and spa-style bathrooms in pale stone and oak. You can see every finish board, room by room, on the project site.
The short version: it's a finished, move-in home in a neighbourhood where finished new homes almost never come up.
Where it is, and how close everything is
These are measured driving times from the house at off-peak hours:
- Royal Botanical Gardens: about 2 minutes
- LaSalle Park and the marina: about 4 minutes
- Aldershot GO and Highway 403: about 5 minutes
- Plains Road shops: about 8 minutes
- Downtown Burlington or downtown Hamilton: about 11 minutes
- McMaster University: about 14 minutes
That mix is the whole appeal of Aldershot. You get a quiet street and mature trees, and you're still minutes from the GO train, the 403 and two downtowns.
